Meet NextFest Team: Post Credit Collective

As part of the NextFest competition, Post Credit Collective is bringing forward a community-driven artistic atmosphere to experience art and media in Ottawa. Led by team members Emma Poole, Pragati Parajuli and Winston Mavraganis, Post Credit Collective presents The Post Credit Festival.

The Post-Credit Festival is a multisensory multi-media festival where art, sound, visuals and atmosphere work together to create a high-energy cultural event. By blending film screenings with art installations, live DJs, and interactive reflection zones, we bridge the gap between digital media consumption and genuine community belonging in Ottawa.

The festival was born from a desire to curate an experience for youths and art enthusiast to immerse themselves in art/ media in an intentional and engaging way while having fun, being curious and building connection with the art, artist, community and themselves. The team used changemakers, people and collectives who lead with curiosity, positivity and a deep belief in community as an essential source of inspiration for their festival.

Post Credit Collective's dream outcome for their festival in year one is to create a festival that feels immersive, multisensory, and deeply engaging, an experience where people aren’t just watching or attending, but are present and participating. They hope to move people through spaces that stimulate curiosity and enjoy an environment where sound, visuals, conversation and atmosphere work together to make art feel alive and accessible. They also want to develop their relationship with other artists and event organizers in the city. Their goal is to stand among the other incredible festivals that Ottawa has to offer.

Shared experience rests at the core of their festival vision. Ultimately, they want to bring people together through art, hoping to leave people feeling connected with each other and the city. The aspiration is for the festival is to help normalize immersive, participatory art experiences in the city to strengthen Ottawa’s cultural fabric.
