Register for the 2026 Digi60 60-Day Challenge

Make a short film – in 60 days!

Are you a new, emerging or professional filmmaker ready for a challenge?

Digi60's annual 60-Day Challenge invites filmmakers to write, shoot and complete an original short film in just 60 days. It's an opportunity to create, collaborate, and connect with other filmmakers – and get your work on screen.

The 2026 Challenge begins at our Kick-Off on Sunday, September 27, 2026, where we will reveal the Catch (theme). You will then have 60 days — until Thursday, November 26, 2026, at 7 PM ET — to make and submit your film.

The 2026 Digi60 Filmmakers’ Festival screenings and program take place from December 18-20, 2026.

Who can participate?

The 60-Day Challenge is open to all filmmakers, but we mainly focus on new and emerging filmmakers. We also particularly encourage the involvement of traditionally underrepresented groups, including BIPOC and women+ creators.

The details

  • Standard registration is $60+ taxes. We also have a Pay-It-Forward option ($120.00 + taxes). All pay-it-forward funds go directly to help with programming or to offset a registered filmmaker in need of financial support. If you’re a new or emerging filmmaker who could get by with a little help from our friends, you can choose the Pay-What-You-Can option.

  • Deadline to register is Sunday, September 27, 2026 at 12 PM ET (right before the Kick-Off!).
