Ottawa International BuskerFest

The Ottawa International Buskerfest returns to Sparks Street with a lineup of award winning performers Thursday, July 31st to Monday, August 4th.  The best street performers from around the world will take over Sparks Street, dazzling and entertaining crowds with acts full of humour, skill, and athleticism. “This year’s festival features a truly international line up” says Les Gagne, Executive Director of the Sparks Street BIA and Authority. “Admission is free but don’t forget to tip in the performers!” This free, family favourite event is will feature five performance areas, circus workshop tent, face painting, balloon artists, and much more. This year’s performers come from Canada, Argentina, Australia, the United States, Great Britain, and the Netherlands . There are also a number of new additions to the program offering including:

• Cracking Up the Capital will be hosting their first Summer Comedy Fest in establishments all Sparks Street.

• KidsFests will be set up on Saturday from 11a-5p on Sparks St. between Kent St. and Lyon St.

• And a new Adults oriented late night Buskers and Burlesque takes place Sunday night.
