Once the 2025 Ottawa Winter Jazz Festival (January 31 - February 1) at Arts Court concludes… the celebration continues. The Festival is hitting the road to bring exceptional music to the heart of eastern Ontario with Jazz in the Valley: Ottawa Jazz Festival on Tour. This dynamic new series will feature captivating music in some of the region's most charming small towns, offering a unique opportunity for both residents and visitors to enjoy world-class performances in intimate, picturesque settings.
Tucked away throughout the capital region, these towns offer the perfect backdrop for a musical escape. From the historic streets of Merrickville to the scenic waterfronts of Smiths Falls, Almonte, and Perth, each town provides a distinct atmosphere that complements the richness of jazz.
Merrickville, often called "Canada's Most Beautiful Village," with its riverside views, artisan shops, and vibrant arts community, will host one of the series' premier performances. Smiths Falls, nestled along the Rideau Canal, brings its blend of heritage and outdoor charm to this special event. Almonte, known for its thriving arts scene and historic mills, promises a performance full of warmth and character. Perth, with its stunning 19th-century architecture and community spirit, offers the perfect stage for a night of unforgettable music.
The Jazz in the Valley tour aims to provide an immersive cultural experience, where art, history, and music harmoniously come together. This series invites both jazz enthusiasts and newcomers alike to experience the magic of live jazz in small-town settings that radiate charm and creativity.
