CIBC celebrates its 150th birthday by offering free Parks Canada 2017 Discovery Passes in all banking centres

CIBC (TSX: CM) (NYSE: CM) is proud to announce that starting today through August 2017, Canadians and visitors to the country can now pick up a free Parks Canada 2017 Discovery Pass at any CIBC banking centre from coast-to-coast-to-coast. The initiative to bring the outdoors to Canadians by offering an opportunity to explore all of Parks Canada's national locations, is thanks to a partnership between Parks Canada and CIBC in celebration of the bank's and the country's shared 15othbirthday. "We are delighted to be partnering with CIBC to distribute Parks Canada's 2017 Discovery Passes. With CIBC's reach, we can ensure that millions of Canadians have access to Parks Canada's treasured places. As we celebrate Canada's 150th anniversary of Confederation, we invite Canadians to be inspired and captivated by the stories of the people and events that shaped the Canada of today. Canada's national parks, national historic sites and national marine conservation areas enable Canadians to experience their rich history and heritage in a special way and will play a big part in the celebration of Canada 150," says Catherine McKenna, Minister of Environment and Climate Change and Minister responsible for Parks Canada.
