Beyond the Pale Brewing Company named official beer partner for 2025 Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend.

May 14, 2025 (Ottawa, ON) — Run Ottawa is pleased to announce a new partnership with Beyond the Pale Brewing Company, naming the popular Ottawa brewery as the Official Beer Partner of the 2025 Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend. Beyond the Pale will serve a selection of their locally brewed beers in the Beyond the Pale Beer Garden during race weekend, taking place May 24-25.

The original BTP brewery, taproom, and kitchen in City Centre offers a spacious two-level setting, with an open view into the brewhouse. During the summer, they boast one of the city’s largest patios, and you can find one of the nation capital’s biggest run clubs, Ottawa City Run Club (OCRC), gathering at 7:30 pm every Tuesday night, throughout the year. In 2024, BTP opened a new taproom and event space located in Ottawa’s Byward Market.

“This is a marquee spring event in Ottawa and we are thrilled to partner with Run Ottawa & Tamarack Race Weekend”, says Rob McIssac, BTP Co-Founder.

Located in Marion Dewar Plaza—also known as Festival Plaza—the Beyond the Pale Beer Garden will provide participants with a vibrant space to celebrate their race-day accomplishments, offering a selection of locally brewed craft beers as well as a special race weekend beer – the Last Mile Lager, soda, and a DJ throughout the two-day race weekend.

All participants – over 20,000 – in the Tartan Ottawa International Marathon, the Ottawa Half Marathon presented by Desjardins, and the Ottawa 10K presented by Otto’s Ottawa receive a free beer, NA-beer, or soda courtesy of Beyond the Pale. 

The Beyond the Pale Beer Garden will be open:

Saturday, May 24: 1:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Sunday, May 25: 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

The marathon and half marathon are sold out, however registration IS OPEN for the Ottawa 10K, 5K and 2K. Walkers and runners of all levels are encouraged to join and experience the unparalleled excitement of Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend.

About Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend

Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend is Canada’s largest running and walking festival with six races, including the Tartan Ottawa International Marathon, Ottawa Half Marathon presented by Desjardins, Ottawa 10K presented by Otto’s Ottawa, Ottawa 5K & Ottawa 2K, and Ottawa Kids Marathon, as well as three multi-event challenges. In 2024, runners and walkers in the event raised a record-breaking $1,132,150.21 for local and national charities through the Desjardins Charity Challenge.

Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend is one of two running events in Canada to host a World Athletics label marathon, and is host to Athletics Canada’s Canadian 10K Championships.
