Spooky season has no age limit! On November 1, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the ByTowne Cinema, join us for a free special screening of the Canadian documentary, Silver Screamers.

RSVP here.

Silver Screamers is a heartwarming and spine-tingling documentary that follows a spirited group of senior citizens who set out to make a horror film, stepping far outside their comfort zones. Led by a local filmmaker, they navigate the challenges of low-budget movie-making with humour, heart, and resilience. Along the way, they discover newfound confidence, forge meaningful friendships, and prove that creativity knows no age.

Director Sean Cisterna will attend the screening to discuss the film.

Silver Screamers is screening as a part of our For Mature Audiences programming, funded by the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
