Italian Week Ottawa

Italian Week Ottawa is an annual 11-day arts and cultural Festival that promotes and showcases Italian heritage and culture in the National Capital Region during the month of June. Originally founded in 1975 through a partnership of the University of Ottawa Languages Department and St. Anthony of Padua Church, and incorporated as a not-for-profit organization in 1977, the Festival has become one of Ottawa’s most iconic annual festivals, and is among the city’s longest running arts and cultural festivals. An important symbol of the Italian-Canadian community’s collective identity, our mandate is to share Italian cultural experiences with Italians, non-Italians, and visitors in the Ottawa community. We showcase these experiences through world-class talent in Italian heritage, art, music, films, gastronomy, literature, crafts, and leisure activities.
