About the Event
The 17th Edition of the Ottawa African Festival returns to Britannia Beach – Pier Park from August 28–30, 2026, for three exciting days celebrating the richness and diversity of African and African-Canadian arts, culture and Community.
Presented by the Pan AfriKan Coalition of Canada (PACC), this vibrant, all-ages festival brings together residents, visitors, families, artists and communities for an unforgettable cultural experience in Canada’s National Capital Region.
Festival-goers can enjoy live music, African dance, traditional drumming, cultural performances, storytelling, workshops, arts and cultural displays, food vendors, Community exhibitors and family-friendly activities.
The 2026 festival will feature an exciting lineup of local, national and international performers, including Sianna Ly, Elage, Obas Kokoma, Sabrosa Band, Ras Fiery, Indigenous, Cobra Du Mandigue, Roots Movement Band, Yinka Farinde and the African Beat, and many more artists and performers.
The festival also celebrates intercultural dialogue and Community connections through participation by Indigenous Elders, knowledge keepers, drummers and dancers, alongside African and African-Canadian artists.
