The Ottawa Jazz Festival Seeks Three Members for its Board of Directors


The Ottawa Jazz Festival seeks candidates to fill three vacancies on its Board of Directors. Having just celebrated its 45th year, the festival is a significant event that contributes to the city’s vibrancy by bringing world-class music to Ottawa’s downtown.


The ideal candidate will participate in the renewal of the jazz festival, deploying leadership skills, fundraising experience, networking abilities, organizational proficiency, and a passion for live music. Candidates with accounting or legal expertise are particularly encouraged to apply.


Board members are expected to actively engage in networking, fundraising, and operational oversight. Successful candidates must commit to participating in monthly in-person meetings of the full board, as well as regular committee meetings via video call.

Board members serve two-year terms, renewable for up to three terms, without compensation, and are encouraged to make personal financial contributions to support the festival’s sustainability.
