The Sparks Street Business Improvement Area is pleased to announce the return of the fourth annual New Year's Eve Capital Countdown. The Capital Countdown is the biggest New Year’s Eve Celebration in downtown Ottawa. Canada’s newest county music sensation Cold Creek County will help bring in 2016. Cold Creek County recently toured with Jason Benoit and Tim Hicks. Kicking off the show at 8pm will be Ottawa’s own Silver Creek and Angela Marie takes the stage at 9:15. The New Year’s Ever Capital Countdown would not be possible without the support of Country 94 and Bell Media Ottawa, The Sheraton Ottawa, Atwill Morin and PCL. The New Year’s Eve Capital Countdown stage will be located on Sparks Street just west of Metcalfe and feature our Maple Leaf Drop at Midnight along with downtown Ottawa’s only fireworks show.
