THE LONG ROAD BACK: March 27 concert postponed until further notice

Writer: Hayley CombaluzierHayley Combaluzier

The province of Ontario announced this morning that Ottawa will move into the red zone as of midnight tonight (March 18). In view of this news, The Long Road Back concert event will be postponed until such time as it is deemed safe to proceed. All ticket purchasers will receive a refund automatically. The initial announcement of The Long Road Back event has sparked a conversation about how festivals and events can proceed in 2021. The positive response and immediate sell-out of the concert has shown that people in Ottawa are starved for LIVE music to return to the capital. Organizers are hopeful that festivals and events can proceed this summer or fall and everyone stays safe in the meantime. About OFIT The Ontario Festival Industry Taskforce (OFIT) is a coalition of Ontario festivals and partner organizations chaired by Mark Monahan and formed in the midst of tremendous uncertainty due to COVID-19 – with the aim of supporting the Government of Ontario to meet recovery goals.
