OTTAWA, ON — Ottawa residents and visitors are invited to watch the World Cup Final on an outdoor screen during a free, all-ages celebration at ByWard Square on Sunday, July 19.
Presented by Latin Sparks Festival, the ByWard Market District Authority, the Office of Deputy Mayor and City Councillor Stéphanie Plante, and Aire Commune, the event begins at 12:00 p.m., giving fans three hours of entertainment before the 3:00 p.m. kickoff.
The celebration extends well beyond the match itself. Live DJs, Carnaval performers, and giveaways will build excitement before kickoff, while food and drinks will be available for purchase throughout the day. After the final whistle, the viewing area will transform into a Latin Sparks Festival-style street party, with music and celebration continuing until 9:00 p.m.
As Canada concludes its role as a host nation for the 2026 World Cup, the event offers football fans, families, residents, and visitors a chance to come together and celebrate the tournament's final match in the heart of Ottawa.
"The energy around football does not begin and end with the match," said Kareem Aly, Co-Founder of Latin Sparks Festival. "It lives in the flags, music, food, and communities that gather around it. We wanted to bring all of that into one public celebration and give Ottawa a place to experience the Final together."
Admission is free with registration. Entry is first-come, first-served and subject to venue capacity. Registration does not guarantee admission. Guests are encouraged to wear their jerseys, bring their flags, and arrive early to enjoy the full pre-match entertainment.
The World Cup Final Watch Party is part of the lead-up to Latin Sparks Festival, taking place on September 5, 2026, at LeBreton Flats.
