The 2026 St. Patrick’s Day Official Parade Route Announced

The Irish Society of the National Capital Region is pleased to announce that after extensive discussion with the City of Ottawa, Ottawa Police Services, and the National Capital Commission that the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Ottawa will be returning to the streets of Ottawa to mark the Bicentennial of Bytown on March 7th, 2026, alongside our Irish Society cousins in Montreal and Toronto.
Our new parade route will start at the Supreme Court of Canada located on Wellington Street and march East to Sussex Drive passing in front of Parliament Hill and over the Rideau Canal which our Irish ancestors started building in 1826 before turning North onto Sussex Drive and then East onto York Street and before ending up in the heart of the Byward Market.
