Sparks is Going Country This New Year’s Eve!

The Sparks Street B.I.A. is pleased to announce that CMA award winning country artist Tim Hicks is the headline act at this year's New Year's Eve Capital Countdown. Opening for Tim Hicks and returning to the Capital Countdown stage is Autumn’s Cannon. DJ 8barz will make his return spinning tunes right up to the Maple Leaf Drop at Fireworks Show at midnight. With Five Top 10 singles and close to three million YouTube views, Tim Hicks opened for Dierks Bently at the Canadian Tire Centre on December 2nd. His latest single “She Don’t Drink Whiskey Anymore” is in heavy rotation on radio stations across Canada. This is the second release from the #1 album 5:01. Autumn’s Cannon is one of Ottawa’s hardest working bands working in support their new album “Open Letter”. The New Year’s Eve Capital Countdown stage will be located on Sparks Street just west of Metcalfe and feature our Maple Leaf Drop at Midnight along with fireworks.
