Saunders Farm Announces TulipFest coming May 2026

New Spring Festival Blooming in Ottawa to kick off the Saunders Farm 50th Anniversary

To celebrate its 50th year, Saunders Farm is thrilled to announce the launch of

Tulipfest presented by Saunders Cider. There is always something new blooming at the farm, and this year Saunders Farm is launching a new season with Tulipfest – a brand-new spring festival opening in May 2026. Set within the farm’s stunning circular, six-acre apple orchard in Ottawa’s rural west end, this immersive three-week celebration will invite visitors to experience the beauty of spring in the country through colour, culture, food, and entertainment.

Tulipfest will feature almost half a million tulips in over 100 varieties, sourced from the

Netherlands, including early, mid, and late bloomers, thoughtfully planted to ensure dazzling colour throughout the festival. As guests wander the winding pathways of the orchard, they will be surrounded by a constantly evolving landscape - where vibrant blooms emerge, transform, and fade naturally with the rhythm of spring. Tulipfest will be the largest display of tulips in one location in Ottawa.

Designed as a full sensory experience, TulipFest will offer picturesque photo opportunities, including a charming windmill and artistic installations throughout the fields. Visitors can also enjoy strolling musicians and interactive performers.

Food lovers will delight in A Taste of Holland, featuring traditional Dutch poffertjes (mini pancakes) alongside a variety of street food options, complemented by local flavours. And one can’t spend time in the orchard without a taste of Saunders Cider!

“Launching TulipFest this May is a natural evolution for Saunders Farm,” said Mark Saunders - Director of Fun at Saunders Farm. “For the 50th anniversary of Saunders Farm, we want to

highlight our agricultural roots and create a new spring destination for Ottawa. As one of the

largest youth employers in the region and a top Ottawa tourist attraction, we have welcomed generations of visitors to our farm since 1976. We can’t wait to welcome friends - both new and old - to the blossoming of our new annual spring TulipFest presented by Saunders Cider!”
