Reminder: An earlier start for Mosaika in August

Writer: Hayley CombaluzierHayley Combaluzier

Canadian Heritage, in collaboration with exclusive sponsor Manulife, wishes to inform the public that, as of Sunday, August 17, 2014, Mosaika: Canada through the eyes of its people, will be presented half an hour earlier, at 9:30 p.m. Until September 6, this free sound and light show on Parliament Hill is offered nightly, 7 days a week (weather permitting). The September showings will begin at 9 p.m. We recommend that spectators bring a chair or blanket to enjoy the view from the lawn. The 30-minute bilingual experience uses spectacular lighting effects, stunning animated projections and a rich tapestry of words, music and sounds to tell the story of Canada using the historic backdrop of the Peace Tower and the Centre Block. Launched in July 2010, and now seen by more than 1 million spectators, Mosaika has garnered thirteen national and international awards, and has twice been named one of the top 100 festivals and events in Ontario.
