Project SoundCheck workshop: preventing sexual assaults at events - Nov 5

Offered by Crime Prevention Ottawa, Project SoundCheck is a unique prevention initiative which provides staff and volunteers with the skills to intervene or support if someone discloses sexual violence. This past summer the project trained volunteers at numerous music festivals and large gatherings, including Bluesfest, Cityfolk, Escapade, Carleton University, and the Canada Day Celebration in Kanata. What: Project SoundCheck presented by Crime Prevention Ottawa and hosted by Ottawa Festivals Where: Main Floor, Festival House, 450 Churchill Ave N When: Thursday, November 5th Time: 6:00pm to 8:00pm Ottawa Festivals Members (Board, Staff and Volunteers): $10 per person Non members: $15 per person To register:volunteers@ottawafestivals.ca; payments will be accepted by credit, debit, cash or by cheque in advance, or on the day of the event.
