PoutineFest on Sparks The Great Canadian Fork Off

Writer: Hayley CombaluzierHayley Combaluzier

PoutineFest, the greatest celebration of Canada's most delicious dish returns to Sparks Street Village. The curds will be melting April 24-27 at the Spring PoutineFest . Over 30 Poutine Stars from across Ontario and Quebec will be serving up squeaky curds, smokin' gravy, and toppings that Anthony Bourdain wouldn’t thing off all along Sparks Street. "The Great Canadian Fork off has returned to kick off the patio season on Sparks", says Les Gagne, Executive Director of Sparks Street Village. "It's been a long winter and it's time to get out and enjoy the taste of Uptown Ottawa!" A celebrity judging panel will have to "eat and choose" who makes Ottawa's best traditional and exotic poutine. The Festival will feature a variety of entertainment including musicians, street entertainments, line contests, and more. We'll also find out who can east the most poutine in our annual Poutine Eating Contest. The limited edition Poutine Passport returns as well for festival goers who wish to try the sinful tastes of many "sample" sized poutines.
