Ottawa StoryTellers & (un)told presents: BOXES BURIED DEEP Written and performed by Sage Tyrtle

Wednesday, September 14, 2016 Arts Court Studio, 2 Daly St 7:30 PM A true story that begins when five-year-old Sage is taken from her mother by her father. As she tries to unravel the mystery behind this sudden abduction, Sage forms a bond with a fantastical fairy character and soon comes to realize that her mother, a diagnosed schizophrenic, is one of the sanest people she knows. “Sage is a storyteller. Not a blogger, or a journalist, but a bona fide, around-the-campfire storyteller. When Sage talks, people don’t just listen, they hang on her every word.” – Katherine Dunn, Staff Reporter, Toronto Star To purchase tickets online - from $12 to $20 - go to: artscourt.ca/events/ A professional storyteller featured on the CBC and National Public Radio (USA), Sage teaches The Art of Storytelling at Seneca College and Second City. "Attending a performance of BOXES BURIED DEEP, I was impressed not only by the quality of Sage’s heartfelt storytelling, and the craft of her performance, but by the impact this remarkable tale had on the audience who responded with rapt attention and genuine emotion." - Laurie Fyffe STORYTELLING WORKSHOP with SAGE TYRTLE
