Final season of the popular sound and light show gains momentum
Canadian Heritage, in collaboration with exclusive sponsor Manulife, is proud to announce that as of tonight, over one million spectators have experienced the sights and sounds of the current edition of the sound and light show on Parliament Hill,
. This major milestone comes as
’s very successful run moves through its final season.
, which launched in July 2010, is a free 30-minute bilingual experience that uses spectacular lighting effects, stunning animated projections, and a rich tapestry of words, music and sounds to tell the story of Canada using the historic backdrop of the Peace Tower and Centre Block.
Mosaika runs until September 6, 2014.
The show has garnered 13 national and international awards, and has twice been named one of the top 100 festivals and events in Ontario.
Mosaika has an overwhelming visitor approval rating: 95 percent were very or extremely satisfied with the show; 90 percent would watch the show again; and 99 percent would recommend it to others (Harris-Decima, 2012 survey).
Sound and light shows have been presented free of charge on Parliament Hill since 1984.
A renewed show is in development and scheduled for release next summer.
