Local Community Jam Showcases Largest Joint Mural Project in Ottawa

On Saturday, June 25, the Canada Science and Technology Museum and House of PainT Festival of Arts and Culture will host a Community Jam, on the grounds of the Museum. Ottawans are invited to participate in finalizing the How Does Science Inspire You? mural. As the largest joint mural project in Ottawa, it includes a Youth Collaboration piece, original art by four local urban artists, and the winning designs from a nation-wide contest launched by House of PainT and the Canada Science and Technology Museum. Launched in April 2016, the goal of the contest was to inspire youth aged 4 to 19 to celebrate creativity, the arts and science. At the Community Jam on June 25, participants will be invited to help paint the five winning mural contest designs under the guidance of professional graffiti artists.
