Les Grands Feux du Casino Lac-Leamy Launches Taste the Sky: A Brand New Gourmet Experience


Les Grands Feux du Casino Lac-Leamy is proud to announce the launch of Taste the Sky, an immersive and festive gourmet experience that is part of the programming for their 29th edition. Every evening, a local chef reinterprets the flavours and culinary traditions of the featured country through a creative and festive open-air tasting experience.

An Experience to Be Lived as Much as Tasted  

Taste the Sky offers a gourmet tasting every evening, crafted by a local chef and inspired by the featured country. Guests are invited to savour creative bites paired with signature cocktails, local craft beers, wines and carefully selected mocktails.

Here are the chefs and restaurants representing each evening:


  • Wednesday, July 29 — Opening Night: Chef Cam McGihon, Bar Lupulus

  • Saturday, August 1 — Canada: Chef Jason Laurin, Mādahòkì Farm 

  • Wednesday, August 5 — France: Chef Lewis Robinson, La Petite Primerose 

  • Saturday, August 8 — Brazil: Chef Chloé Berlanga, La Petite Soif 

  • Wednesday, August 12 — China: Chef Eric Duchesne, Clandestin 

  • Saturday, August 15 — Grand Finale: Private Chef Jean-Philippe Cloutier


With only 50 spots per seating and two seatings per evening, the experience is designed to be both intimate and bold. It all takes place in a dedicated space at the very heart of the Les Grands Feux du Casino Lac-Leamy site, in a festive, funky and immersive open-air atmosphere: luminous barrels, artistic murals and scripted service set the stage for a truly unique culinary performance. 


A Local Roots at the Heart of the Experience  

Taste the Sky is above all a celebration of local talent and products. Each evening, a local chef from the Gatineau-Ottawa region crafts a menu exclusively inspired by the featured country, drawing on carefully selected local and seasonal ingredients. The pairings are equally rooted in Quebec's culinary heritage: signature cocktails made with local spirits, regional craft beers and creative mocktails round out the culinary experience. This collaboration with local artisans and producers is a natural expression of Les Grands Feux' vision of celebrating world cultures while championing the very best of what this region has to offer.
