Les Grands Feux du Casino Lac-Leamy back this Wednesday for a colourful 29th edition

From July 29th to August 15th, six exceptional pyromusical shows will illuminate the shores of Gatineau-Ottawa. At Les Grands Feux, the experience begins long before the sky lights up. Dance performances, gastronomic experiences and brand new animation zones: festivalgoers are invited to arrive early to make the most of everything the site has to offer.

Festivalgoers are invited to reserve now at feux.qc.ca to secure their spot at the front row.

A cultural journey at the heart of Les Grands Feux site

This year, the international dimension of Les Grands Feux will take on an even greater role in the experience offered to visitors. Every evening at 7:30 PM, local dance troupes will pay tribute to the culture of the featured country through performances along the cycling path.

In addition, the hosts from L'As des jeux will offer nightly thematic trivia sessions to test festivalgoers' knowledge of the featured country. A fun and interactive way to discover the culture and traditions of each represented nation.

Taste the Sky: the all-new immersive gastronomic experience

Les Grands Feux du Casino Lac-Leamy are proud to introduce Taste the Sky, a brand new culinary experience. Every show evening, a local chef presents a signature menu of five to six exclusive bites, carefully crafted around the featured country.

Participating chefs for the 2026 edition:

  • July 29 — Opening Night — Chef Cam McGihon, Bar Lupulus

  • August 1 — Canada — Chef Jason Laurin, Mādahòkì Farm

  • August 5 — France — Chef Lewis Robinson, La Petite Primerose

  • August 8 — Brazil — Chef Chloé Berlanga, La Petite Soif

  • August 12 — China — Chef Eric Duchesne, Le Clandestin

  • August 15 — Grand Finale — Private Chef Jean-Philippe Cloutier

With only 50 spots per session and two sessions per evening, the experience is both intimate and bold. It all takes place in a dedicated space, at the very heart of Les Grands Feux site.

New experience zones on site

Nordik Spa Village immersive village & terrace

Once again this year, the Les Grands Feux site is packed with experiences to discover before the show. Nordik Spa Village is deploying an immersive village inspired by its spa universe, featuring a photo booth, an olfactory apothecary, a meditation sauna and much more. For the first time, Nordik Spa Village is also offering a brand new terrace with Adirondack chairs, allowing festivalgoers to experience the show in an intimate and comfortable setting.

Reserved seats on the NCC Recreational Dock

For the first time this year, festivalgoers will be able to settle in directly on the new NCC Recreational Dock to enjoy the show from the shores of the Ottawa River in Adirondack chairs. The dock is accessible from 8:30 PM.

A high-calibre international lineup

Les Grands Feux du Casino Lac-Leamy once again invites festivalgoers on a journey around the world with an international lineup featuring renowned pyrotechnic firms. Each firm develops a unique artistic concept around its theme, creating an immersive experience where music, light and creativity come together.

  • July 29: Opening Night under the Casino Royal theme — Presented by Mercedes-Benz Gatineau, proud member of the Mark Motors Group, represented by Royal Pyrotechnie. A festive and glamorous atmosphere, with live DJs during the pyromusical show to kick off Les Grands Feux in style.

  • August 1: Canada under the theme The Odyssey of the Cosmos — Represented by Quebec firm Feux d'artifice Orion. A fascinating journey through the mysteries of the universe, where planets, stars and celestial phenomena come to life in the Outaouais sky.

  • August 5: France under the theme French Touch — Represented by firm Pyragric Feux d'artifice. A celebration of the French electronic music scene that conquered the world. Daft Punk, Bob Sinclar, David Guetta, Cerrone and many more power an evening that will make you want to dance.

  • August 8: Brazil under the theme Emotion in Every Moment — Represented by firm Vision Show. A show bursting with colour, rhythm and emotion, in the spirit of the Rio Carnival.

  • August 12: China under the theme The Four Seasons — Represented by firm Dancing Fireworks. A tribute to the timeless work of Antonio Vivaldi. From the blossoms of spring to the icy shimmer of winter, nature comes to life in the sky.

  • August 15: The Grand Finale under the theme We All Have a Hero — Represented by firm Royal Pyrotechnie. A celebration of every hero: the superheroes of our imagination, the athletes who push their limits, and the heroes of everyday life.

Returning signature experiences

Several fan-favourite experiences will also be back this year.

  • The Magic Forest: family zone to delight the youngest festivalgoers

  • The Enchanted Haven: eco-responsible workshops for children and adults alike

  • Story Time: animated reading of the 3rd volume of the tale created by the Les Grands Feux team, every evening at 7 PM in French and 7:45 PM in English

  • Plaza Promutuel: live DJ experience and local food trucks

  • Harvest Table: an exclusive gastronomic experience with private chef Jean-Philippe Cloutier

This year, Les Après-Feux are presented by four local microbreweries: À La Dérive Brasserie Artisanale, 5e Baron, Brasserie du Bas-Canada and Brasserie Artisanale Gallicus.

A sustainable commitment at the heart of the festival

The event continues its commitment to eco-responsible practices, recognized last fall by the Prix Vertuose d'Environnement écoresponsable, a regional distinction that highlights the concrete integration of sustainable development across all festival activities.

In collaboration with Enviro Éduc-Action, the organization continues to formalize a structured sustainable development plan, aimed at consolidating existing initiatives and guiding future actions. This commitment extends to the shows themselves: each performance integrates a minimum of 35% green pyrotechnic pieces.

On site, the Les Grands Feux green team oversees eco-responsible practices, guiding festivalgoers in waste management and raising public awareness of environmental issues.

An experience accessible to all

Les Grands Feux du Casino Lac-Leamy are committed to offering an inclusive and accessible experience to all festivalgoers. A specially designed Accessibility Zone welcomes people with particular needs, whether physical, sensory or otherwise. The purchase of a ticket in this zone includes free access for one companion, and accessible washrooms and a bar are available nearby.

New in 2026: an accessible shuttle, presented by TSMO, will be available to connect the main entrance to the Accessibility Zone, facilitating the movement of festivalgoers with particular needs.

Boulev'Art de la Vallée: the 2026 cause chouchou

This year, Les Grands Feux du Casino Lac-Leamy are proud to shine a light on Boulev'Art de la Vallée as their cause chouchou. This local organization supports adults living with mental health challenges by using art as a powerful tool for rehabilitation and social integration.

Throughout the event, various initiatives will help raise awareness of the organization's mission and invite festivalgoers to contribute concretely to the cause:

  • Option to add a donation when purchasing tickets online

  • Sale of a children's book benefiting the organization

  • Donations possible with the purchase of a drink or meal

  • Awareness capsules on Les Grands Feux platforms

  • Visibility equivalent to that of major partners offered to Boulev'Art de la Vallée
