KORCHMA-2016

Step out of the city and into a traditional Cossack Tavern (Korchma) with Canada’s only Balkan-klezmer-gypsy-party-punk super-band, the JUNO-nominated Lemon Bucket Orkestra on Friday, May 6, 2016 at the Ukrainian Banquet Hall. From Toronto to New York, Budapest to Berlin, audiences around the world are hailing the Lemon Bucket Orkestra, as folk music revolutionaries. Their shows are more than concerts; they’re celebrations of ancient tradition and culture expressed with an explosive punk spirit rarely contained by four walls. The relentless energy of the band is beyond infectious; new and longtime fans alike speak of a liberating experience found nowhere else. Opening that night will be Toronto’s hottest Ukrainian party rock band, Zapovid. The Festival is held on the grounds of St John the Baptist Ukrainian Shrine, Heron Road & Prince of Wales Drive. So, come party like a Cossack. Everyone is welcome.
