The following is a news release from Algonquin College Events Management students who are coordinating a fundraiser for Children's Wish Foundation. Hula your way into a tropical paradise on Wednesday, June 24 at the Britannia Yacht Club. Beginning at 6:00 pm, guests at “Lei’d Back Luau” will experience the aromatic flavors of Hawaii captured through a buffet style sunset feast overlooking the beautiful Ottawa River and be entertained as they are whisked away to the peaceful and enriching life of the Hawaiian Islands. Guests may enjoy a traditional Mai Tai beverage while checking out the silent auction tables, take in the elegance and serenity of hula dancers, ukulele performers, steel drummer and so much more! This fundraising event benefits the Children’s Wish Foundation who grants wishes to children with life threatening illnesses in the National Capital Region. Mahalo! About Lei’d Back Luau Wish Event Lei’d Back Luau is a fundraising event being organized by six students in the Event Management program at Algonquin College in partnership with the Children’s Wish Foundation. For the past seven years, Event Management students have been organizing and executing events with all proceeds going towards the Children’s Wish Foundation and to date have raised over $800,000, with the generous support of the Ottawa community.
