Igniting action: Ottawa Festival Network to host 2024 Volunteer Fair
– Ottawa Festival Network (OFN) is thrilled to announce its upcoming Volunteer Connect Fair, scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at St. Laurent Shopping Centre. This event aims to connect passionate volunteers with meaningful volunteer opportunities with local festivals, special events, and fairs.
The OFN Volunteer Connect Fair is an event that serves to bridge the gap between local organizations in need of support and individuals eager to contribute their time and skills. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore a diverse range of volunteer opportunities offered by 20+ festival and event organizations.
“Having been directly involved in organizing this year's Volunteer Connect Fair, I can confidently attest to its value,” said Emma Poole, the Communications Coordinator at Ottawa Festivals Network. “The Volunteer Connect Fair transcends mere volunteer recruitment; it's really a dynamic convergence of passionate individuals, fostering collaboration, sharing insights, and forging meaningful industry connections. Seize this opportunity and join us for the Volunteer Connect Fair – you won't want to miss it!”
OFN’s Volunteer Connect Fair will feature several booths from participating OFN members such as Bluesfest, Ottawa Grassroots, Hope Volleyball, and many more! Attendees will be able to learn more about their mission, programs and volunteer opportunities. Whether individuals are interested in music, arts, culture, sport, and recreation events, there will be something for everyone at the fair.
The Volunteer Fair is open to people of all ages and backgrounds, from high school students seeking to complete their volunteer hours, to young adults looking to upgrade their resume, to retirees eager to stay active and looking to give back to their community.
