Some Secrets Are Dirtier Than Others Dead Unicorn Ink is proud to partner with the Ottawa Fringe Festival to present Ten Little Sinners as part of the Fringe Encore Series. Written by Patrice Forbes (Chesterfield, Well Isn’t This Super; Marvelous Man IV: The Return of Marvelous Man) and directed by Jeremy Piamonte, Ten Little Sinners is a sexy, scary, and pun-filled tribute to Agatha Christie’s famous mystery novel And Then There Were None. The cast features artists from across Ottawa including Rideau Award nominee Jon Dickey and Digi60 Emerging Actor Award winner Zoe Towne. “This show made me FEEL things, sometimes weird things. Pure, raunchy, scary fun. Go see it!” -Joel Garrow Everyone has secrets, some are just dirtier than others. Inspired by Agatha Christie, Ten Little Sinners sees ten strangers lured to the middle of the Nevada desert to shoot a porno film with the promise of a huge payload. Little do they know they’ve been marked, not for their taste in entertainment, but for their taste in murder. Trapped by an erotic artist with a lust for blood, will any of them come out alive? The gang is a made up of a silly potpourri of creative minds - resulting in a sweet mix of folk and southern jam featuring opera-rock vocals, bouncy rhythms, musical theatre harmonies, and the occasional rain stick interlude. We create surprisingly hummable, temptingly strummable original tunes composed and performed in a manner that it is certain to make you smile. Our on-stage antics and comedy bits will make you laugh. Our lyrics will make your heart skip a beat. Our finale will make you a lifetime fan. Also: Before each performance of Ten Little Sinners, Leaping Mammal Collective will be presenting their short play Blanket Fort. A short piece created by Leaping Mammal Collective. Written by Ian McMullen; based on ideas and scenes discussed and improvised by the cast. Blanket Fort is the first work created by Leaping Mammal. The show is set in a small apartment, and follows three roommates who struggle to deal with their evil landlord. In a world where very real, very dark forces control the best hangout spots, our three roommates fail to chill, and find themselves over their heads in feathers.
