Free OLG Sno-Bus Shuttle Service and Street Closures During Winterlude 2014

The Department of Canadian Heritage wishes to advise residents and visitors to Canada’s Capital Region of the free OLG Sno-Bus shuttle service and the street closures that will take place during the 36th edition of Winterlude, which will be held in from January 31 to February 17, 2014.OLG SNO-BUS SHUTTLE SERVICE Take the free OLG Sno-Bus shuttle service to different Winterlude sites. OC Transpo and the Société de transport de l’Outaouais (STO) will provide a shuttle service linking Winterlude’s official sites: the Rideau Canal Skateway; Crystal Garden at Confederation Park; and Snowflake Kingdom, at Jacques-Cartier Park in Gatineau. OLG Sno-Bus stops are clearly indicated on Winterlude signs along the way. Saturdays and Sundays, February 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, and 16: • OC Transpo will provide service on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., between Dows Lake, the Rideau Canal Skateway and Confederation Park. • The STO will provide service on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., between Confederation Park, Jacques-Cartier Park and the Centre Robert-Guertin park-and-ride in Gatineau. WINTERLUDE ROAD CLOSURES In Ottawa, Laurier Avenue West (between Nicholas and Elgin streets) and the Queen Elizabeth Driveway will be closed to traffic at the following times *: • Saturdays February 1, 8, and 15 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. • Sundays, February 2, 9 and 16 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. *Times subject to change depending on programming requirements and weather conditions.
