th

 annual

Folk Alliance International Conference

 is the largest gathering of folk musicians and music industry professionals in the world. Each year, upwards of 2500 artists, venues, labels, DJs, agents, and organizations from around the world come together for five days of professional development, networking, and, of course: music. In 2025, this gathering will be held from

Feb 19-23

, just down the road, in Montreal, at Le Centre Sheraton Montreal Hotel (1201 René-Lévesque Blvd W).

Over 170 official jury-selected artists

 from more than 20 countries/regions will perform

official showcases

, while dozens more perform in

private showcases

, which animate multiple floors’ worth of hotel rooms late into the evenings. In addition to showcases, the conference hosts keynotes, workshops, panels, affinity groups, important conversations, and a small expo hall that creates opportunities to connect, learn from/with, teach, hear, and meet the diverse community that gathers under the folk banner. Musically speaking, at FAI, ‘folk music’ is the music of the People, in all our shapes, sizes, backgrounds, traditions, and trajectories. In other words, it’s an extremely diverse group of humans, hailing from around the world, all united by an eagerness to perform, celebrate, and discover great music.

For Ottawa Festival Network members

, FAI is pleased to offer

free registration for the Conference

. If you are interested in attending, or have any questions about the event, please contact Jonathan Campbell:
