May 30 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
You’ve asked for it and we’ve listened! The Ottawa Film Office at Invest Ottawa is pleased to announce that a film and TV job fair will be held on May 30 at the beautiful and historic Horticulture Building at Lansdowne Park.
A similar event was held in 2013 to great success. Over 200 people attended the job fair held at the Invest Ottawa offices, where they had the opportunity to meet with local production companies. Many attendees were hired as a result of the event and have continued to work in the local film and television industry.
This time, the event will be held in the Horticulture Building at Lansdowne Park, providing ample space for attendees and participating companies to talk. An industry panel, moderated by our own Film Commissioner Bruce Harvey and featuring local film and television professionals, will precede the job fair. A list of participating companies and panelists will be published in the next couple of weeks.
Doors open: 9 :30 a.m. Industry panel: 10 :00 a.m. – 11 :30 a.m. Job fair: 11 :30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Cost: FREE (parking extra) What to bring: Copies of your resume and a positive attitude!
This event is geared to anyone interested in exploring a career in film and television, including:
Secondary and post-secondary students, recent grads;
Current crew members looking for new opportunities;
Professionals working in a different industry and interested in transitioning to an exciting new career in Ottawa’s emerging film and television industry.
