The National Capital Commission (NCC) is pleased to announce that Barenaked Ladies frontman Ed Robertson has been added to the Canada Day Evening Show line-up. He will join Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield on stage, along with a virtual choir, to perform a multi-lingual version of “Is Somebody Singing”.
“This year’s Canada Day celebration on the Hill will feature great Canadian talent including Carly Rae Jepsen, Metric, Karim Ouellet and Terri Clark,” said the Honourable James Moore, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages. “We’re also looking forward to reuniting Ed Robertson and Chris Hadfield for their first live on-earth performance of a song that engaged and inspired Canadians from coast to coast to coast.”
The pair will be part of a stellar show on Parliament Hill, beginning at 7:30 pm on July 1st, 2013. The show will be hosted by Anne-Marie Withenshaw and will showcase:
