Doc Wuthergloom’s Haunted Medicine Show

After receiving 2012 Dora Nominations for Outstanding New Play and Outstanding Performance, Doc Wuthergloom’s Haunted Medicine Show makes an eerie appearance in Almonte this Friday the 13th (June 2014, that is). Eric Woolfe performs in this disturbing spectacle of showmanship, which features over 20 puppets, razor blades and an eternally cursed 142 year old Traveling Exorcist! Known for his skills as an actor and puppeteer, Mr. Woolfe has secretly spent the last six years studying the dark art of parlour magic under the tutelage of internationally renowned magic teacher, Mike Segal. Using magic, music, and innovative storytelling, Doc Wuthergloom’s Haunted Medicine Show comes alive in a secret location in Mississippi Mills. And for a select number of daring dwellers, we present a bonus feature for the stout of heart! An intimate demonstration of 3 Terrorfying Exhibits and their Accursed Mystical Powers … in the added special attraction The Dime Museum of the Damned! “When it comes to punk-tinged, Victorian-Gothic Puppetry, Eric Woolfe must rank near the top.” –The Globe and Mail. Seating is limited. Suitable for adults and brave youth aged 16+. Friday the 13th (of June). Tickets are $20 and available at Mississippi Valley Textile Museum, and Baker Bob’s, in Almonte. Presented by the Mississippi Valley Textile Museum in partnership with Puppets Up! International Puppet Festival. Parental Warning: If the children in question are old enough to stay up late and watch, say, Curse of Frankenstein or the Omen on television, then they’ll get along just fine.
