ByWard Market 200th Tourism Animation Fund Information Session

Ottawa Tourism is launching the ByWard Market 200th Tourism Animation Fund. This one-time program supports tourism businesses and organizations in creating engaging, high-quality products and experiences that celebrate Ottawa's ByWard Market 200th anniversary and enhance the city’s competitiveness as a destination.

This application-based program aims to support activations occurring between January 1, 2027 and December 31, 2027 that are designed to attract visitors and showcase the history, legacy and culture of Ottawa's ByWard Market. Priority consideration will be given to projects and initiatives that demonstrate alignment with a minimum of three (3) of the following areas: 

• Arts

• Culture

• Festivals

• Nightlife

• Culinary

• Diversity and Inclusion

• Official languages

• Indigenous experiences

Ahead of the application intake period running from September 22 to November 3, 2026, Ottawa Tourism and the ByWard Market District Authority will co-host a virtual information session to share additional details about the fund.
