[News Release:
Nuit Blanche Ottawa+Gatineau 2014 will deliver a night of programming where artists will show us how to bypass through this city both culturally and creatively. This year’s exhibition list is bursting with spectacle and creativity in the form of live performances, new media interactive projects, video installations and projections, and many interdisciplinary art practices.
Nuit Blanche Ottawa+Gatineau (NBOG) is a free all-night arts and culture event for all ages. Visitors and residents will witness and interact with local and special guest artists across the Byward Market, Downtown Rideau, Wellington West and centre-ville Gatineau. Look through the online program or pick up a printed program at the partnering venues to start planning your night. www.nbog.ca
The event, now in its third year, is built through partnerships and community involvement and run by a team of dedicated volunteers 8389136 Canada Foundation, with funding from the Ontario Arts Council, the cities of Gatineau and Ottawa and the Ottawa Community Foundation. The largest partner this year has been AOE Arts Council who ran the Open Call to artists and will be hosting another edition of their successful ‘living library’ of books (artists) at the Moscow Tea Room (527 Sussex Drive).
In addition, a complimentary shuttle service will be in operation between the main zones.
