Festival's second week includes free outdoor concerts at Rideau Hall, and a closing event with New York DJ Brendan Speltz
OTTAWA – Ottawa Chamberfest's second week features Angela Hewitt's Bach Odysseys V and VI, a specially-commissioned concert featuring Canadian composers and performers, and a mix of tango and jazz from around the world in the late-night Chamberfringe series.

NYO Canada brings you a sneak peek at the chamber musicians of tomorrow, with a series of performances from groups newly formed from their orchestra. Mosaïques Saturday August 4 / 1:00PM / National Gallery of Canada $25* Fourteen composers, four instruments, four minutes. Ensemble Made In Canada weaves a cultural quilt from specially-commissioned pieces inspired by Canada’s many provinces, territories, and regions, with composers including Ana Sokolović, David Braid, and Sarah Slean. Hewitt's concert on August 6 (Bach Odyssey VI) will feature Bach’s ethereal Aria and 30 variations known the world over as the Goldberg Variations. Gryphon Trio 25th Anniversary Mashup Sunday August 5 / 7:00PM / Dominion-Chalmers United Church $35 Celebrating 25 years, the Gryphon Trio have put together a set list featuring much loved music for violin, cello, and piano by Haydn, Beethoven, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Piazzolla, and many more. One of the highlights in Chamberfest's Marina Kun series, Eric Friesen will host this evening of greatest hits and favourite stories. Siskind Snapshot: Bedford Trio Monday August 6 / 5:30PM / Dominion-Chalmers United Church Free Admission This year’s Career Development Residency ensemble wraps up their tenure at Chamberfest – under the mentorship of educator Rob Kapilow, from workshops at the Boys and Girls Club to pop-up concerts in Ottawa’s parks – with a showcase of the skill that has elevated them in Toronto’s chamber music scene.
