An earlier start for Mosaika in August

Writer: Hayley CombaluzierHayley Combaluzier

The National Capital Commission (NCC), in collaboration with exclusive sponsor Manulife Financial, wishes to inform the public that, as of Thursday, August 1, 2013, Mosaika: Canada through the eyes of its people, will be presented half an hour earlier, at 9:30 pm. Until September 7, this free sound and light show on Parliament Hill is offered nightly, 7 days a week (weather permitting). The September showings will begin at 9 pm. We recommend that spectators bring a chair or blanket to enjoy the view from the lawn. The 30-minute bilingual experience uses spectacular lighting effects, stunning animated projections and a rich tapestry of words, music and sounds to tell the story of Canada using the magnificent backdrop of the Peace Tower and the Centre Block. The NCC has captivated audiences for close to 30 years with its sound and light shows. Launched in July 2010, and already seen by more than 800,000 spectators, Mosaika has garnered thirteen national and international awards, and for a second year in a row has been named one of the top 100 festivals and events in the province by Festival & Events Ontario. Manulife Financial is the exclusive sponsor for Mosaika.
