The Ottawa Lebanese Festival is celebrating 25 years with the biggest and greatest party with new features, and captivating events. Beginning Wednesday July 15th and running through to July 19th, the grounds of the St. Elias Cathedral will be transformed with a newly designed layout to showcase the very best in Middle Eastern entertainment, succulent cuisine, and traditional Lebanese culture.
Our world famous and always popular Middle Eastern food is authentically made fresh and available throughout the grounds.
The Tannis Food Tentoffers Hummus, Tabouli, Falafel and Chicken Shawarma. Also available are a combination of appetizing Middle Eastern platters, including vegetarian selections.
The Skaff Real Estate Group Market Place allows you to mingle with the various vendors and cruise the beautiful display of genuine Lebanese crafts, history and artwork. Round out your visit with one of the many delicious desserts and a Lebanese coffee.
The Allstate Saj Bread Tent presents the admired “saj” bread – created in front of your eyes. The Saj bread tent, which opens daily at 5pm, can only be found at the festival.
The KS on the Keys Beirut Lounge is a wonderful place to relax and unwind with friends - offering a new full menu that includes Beef Kabobs, Fattouch Salad, and Kafta – as well as the traditional Lebanese Argily (Shisha) and live nightly entertainment.
The Ottawa Lebanese Festival welcomes patrons to experience the amazing Lebanese entertainment, fun and events that are scheduled over the five days.
The Pepsi Stage presents various international artists from Lebanon, Canada and the United States as they perform contemporary and established music, dances and entertainment. A complete schedule is available on the festival website and Facebook page.
The Gabriel Pizza Family Midway is open every day with plenty of rides and games for children, as well as the young at heart.
St. Elias Cathedral Tours allows you to experience the grandeur of the St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral and the rich history of the religion though a private tour. Church tours are available throughout the festival: Weekdays 6:00pm – 10:00pm. Saturday and Sunday 2:00pm – 10:00pm.
The North Star Fireworks Finale commemorates 25 years of the Lebanese Festival in the national capital area with a spectacular fireworks display beginning Sunday at 10:30pm.
The Lebanese Festival is open from 4:00pm - 11:00pm Wednesday to Friday and 11:00am - 11:00pm on Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free until 5pm courtesy of Millennium Limousine Services. Complimentary parking is available at Canada Post with Millennium Limousine providing the free shuttle service every 15 minutes to and from the festival. Admission is only $2 every day with the exception of Thursday at $5. The Ottawa Lebanese Festival was created in 1990 as a non-profit, community based, cultural event to celebrate time-honoured traditions along with vibrant deep roots of the Lebanese community in the National Capital Region. Each year the festival attracts thousands of Ottawa residents. The festival is organized by the many hard working volunteers from the St. Elias Cathedral, located at Riverside and Ridgewood, directly across from Mooney’s Bay.
