From October 2nd – 6th the 2013 Ottawa International Film Festival (OIFF) will celebrate the best of the local and international independent film scene.“What I’m most excited about this year is the incredible calibre of films we have,” says Nina Bains, Executive Director of OIFF. “It was an enormous task to select ten films that would best represent OIFF and the tastes of our audience in Ottawa, but I think we put together an amazing lineup of thrilling, funny and cerebral films." The Opening Night Gala is on Wednesday, October 2 at the Marriott Hotel (Summit Room) on 100 Kent Street. The event begins at 7pm with exclusive invite-only access before opening up to the general public at 9pm. The four-day festival will feature local Canadian films as well as movies from the United States and India. Film screenings will be held throughout the city at Rainbow Cinemas, Ottawa Little Theatre and St. Paul’s University.
