About the Role

POSITION: CC1 – Artist Liaison – Ottawa Children's Festival de la jeunesse


DESIRED CONTRACT TERM: 26 Weeks ANTICIPATED START DATE: September 28, 2026 END DATE: March 31, 2027


WORK SCHEDULE: 4 business days / 32 hours per week WORK LOCATION: Hybrid: Own home and office


JOB SUMMARY: This position is funded through Ontario’s Job Creation Partnerships (see more details below). Reporting to Artistic Producer, Festival Manager, Development & Sponsorship Coordinator, and Operations Manager. Assist the Producer and Festival Manager with all matters related to the management companies and other artists who are engaged to appear at the Children’s Festival.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and execute travel itineraries and schedule artists for their various activities throughout the year.

  • Design and implement the schedule of artists including travel itineraries, hotel accommodation, sound checks, and in town travel requirements.

  • Provide artists with safe and efficient transportation by aiding in the setup of Festival ride-share account.

  • Manage artist’s riders, on-site green room, including food organizing, presentation, and clean-up.

  • Aid in setting up and maintaining the Hospitality and/or Dressing rooms.

  • Develop, prepare, and distribute artist welcome packets and festival identification badges.

  • Support management team with other related duties as they develop.

  • Update and maintain various databases.

  • All other duties as assigned.


SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Have training or experience in customer service, public relations and/or special events.

  • A college or University degree is an asset.

  • Is a team player.

  • Possess strong written and verbal skills.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure.


Additional Qualifications Required:

Candidate eligibility for JCP is determined according to the following criteria:

  1. An unemployed job seeker or those employed less than 20 hours per week.

  2. A resident living in Ontario who is legally authorized to work in Canada.

  3. Meet at least 1 of the following criteria:

    1. Has an established Employment Insurance (EI) benefit period.

    2. Previously established an EI benefit period that has ended within the previous 60 months.

    3. Paid employee EI premiums (e.g. Box 18 on the T4) in at least 3 of the last 10 years while earnings have been at least $2000 in each of those years.


NOTE: Persons currently enrolled in full-time academic studies are not eligible for consideration. Those who qualify to establish an Employment Insurance (EI) claim must do so prior to being considered for JCP participation.


Remuneration:

$704 (gross) per week paid biweekly by the Province of Ontario
