The public is invited to view and have photos taken with the Stanley Cup and Conn Smythe Trophy in Ottawa this weekend. The iconic hockey hardware will be at Tailgators sports entertainment venue this Saturday in support of a local hockey player who is facing the fight of her life. Vienna Arbic, an 8 year old Nepean Wildcat hockey player, has a rare form of brain cancer. Unfortunately, due to its size and location, this form of cancer is inoperable; she is currently undergoing chemotherapy followed by radiation in hopes of treating it. Although her parents are optimistic with her prognosis, what the future holds for her is uncertain. What is certain is that the road ahead for the Arbic family is going to be long and very difficult. This weekend, the community can crosscheck cancer and score a Victory for Vienna! What: Stanley Cup & Conn Smythe Trophy People can have their picture taken with these coveted trophies for a minimum donation of $10.00 When: Saturday, April 13, from 2 pm to 6 pm Where: Tailgators 1642 Merivale Rd., Ottawa (above the Merivale Mall) A second fundraiser and silent auction is also being planned for Saturday, May 11th at the same venue. To purchase tickets for that event, to make a donation, or for more information about either of these initiatives, visit www.VictoryForVienna.com
