January is busy for The Ottawa Storytellers with Kim Kilpatrick presenting "Flying in the Dark" on Jan 17 and the Stories and Tea series hosts "Warm Words on a Winter's Night" on Jan 8 and Firsts! with Anne Nagy and Sherri Yazdani on Jan 22.

Flying in the Dark January 17 at 7:30 pm Featuring Kim Kilpatrick

So, she was born blind!  For those of us who are sighted, Kim would seem to be hemmed in by dark.  But that’s not how she sees it. For her, the darkness is no barrier - it’s the refusal of others to acknowledge her competence that weights her down.  Laughter, language, and relish for living have freed her - that and her trusty guide dogs!  Join us for a story of gentle adventure to send you chuckling into the night. 7:30pm at the NAC Fourth Stage. Tickets are available at the NAC Box Office with no online purchase fees, click here for online tickets. More Info

The Apocalypse Roadshow is coming to town!

If you can read this, Rejoice! You are now on the flip side of the brink! What now? Rebuild humanity of course, How? The Apocalypse Roadshow! This troupe of storytellers and musicians travel the lands in search of those in need of a good night out. They bring you songs and tales designed to sooth, provoke, and entertain as you negotiate this, the post-apocalyptic world. The Apocalypse Roadshow is a travelling stage show that incorporates storytellers, musicians and radio broadcasters. The show involves telling edgy post-apocalyptic tales packaged in an old school radio roadshow format. This program is a publicity partner with OST. They will be performing on Saturday 26 in the Wellington Village Area (TBA), and on Sunday February 3 at the Hintonburg Public House. For more information, please visit www.apocalypseroadshow.com.
