Special summer edition of Nature Nocturne for Capital Pride Week!

Writer: Hayley CombaluzierHayley Combaluzier

Nature Nocturne—Ottawa’s hottest Friday night party—is back this summer for a special edition to kick off Capital Pride Week.  This evening of glamour and fun takes place on August 15 from 8:00 pm to midnight. “This event is in partnership with the Capital Pride Festival,” says Cynthia Iburg who coordinates the popular Nature Nocturne program at the Museum. “We’re lighting up the castle in rainbow colours. Every corner of the building will be alive with activity. It’s a great addition to our successful 2013-14 series that saw many of the nights completely sold out.” Along with dancing, socializing and wandering through the Museum’s galleries, the “Nocturners” can take in a burlesque show as well as a drag queen pageant. They can also engage in a collective art craft on the Pride theme or play a vintage video game. Multiple food and drink stations will be conveniently located in different areas of the Museum. Tickets are $25 and include one food voucher as well as the tax.  As the past few Nature Nocturne events have sold out, it is highly recommended that people purchase their tickets in advance, either online or at the Museum.
