Ottawa ChamberfestVarious Venues, July 26 – August 9
In the city’s downtown core, the forecast calls for classic tunes courtesy of Ottawa Chamberfest! Returning for its 25
anniversary, Chamberfest brings together strings, brass, and wind musicians, coupled with piano and vocal ensembles to grace the capital with three whole weeks of beautiful chamber music you won’t want to miss. This award winning festival is the biggest of its kind in the world and is happening right here at home so get out there and #GetFestive!

Torchlight Shakespeare SeriesVarious Venues, Until August 18
This theatrical series has been bringing shows all over Canada’s Capital and will continue to do so all throughout the summer. This festival covers so much of the city that “about 85% of Ottawa residents live less than a ten minute drive from one of the shows”! Bring a lawn chair or picnic blanket to one of the venues and prepare yourselves for many nights full of music, comedy, and drama during Torchlight Shakespeare!

Northern Lights Sound and Light ShowParliament Hill, Until September 3
Northern Lights is still going strong on Parliament Hill this week! Come together with hundreds of fellow Canadians to learn about the rich history of our country, all while enjoying a FREE sound and light show projected onto the Peace Tower. Show times are 10:00pm in July, 9:30pm in August, and 9:00pm in September, which means this festival is the perfect way to end off any night!
2018 OAF Chinatown Night MarketOttawa Chinatown, Somerset St W at Arthur, Jul 27 – 29
Next up we have culture flying all the way from Asia as the 2018 OAF Chinatown Night Market touches down beside the Chinatown Royal Arch. With it comes famous delicacies such as squid on a stick, twisted potatoes, and the famous ice cream bubble waffles. Not only will there be plenty of food, but you can also look forward to music and activities, as well as a volleyball tournament on July 28! Definitely a not-to-be-missed event!
Indonesian Festival 2018Horticulture Building, Lansdowne Park, July 27 – 29
Another festival with an Asian flair, the Indonesia Festival 2018 is making its way to Lansdowne Park, set to arrive on July 27! Experience 3 days packed with Indonesian culture right here in Ottawa without the hassle of a plane ticket. Enjoy traditional food, dance, and music, and even a fashion show to show off all of the colourful and stylish clothing that can be found in Indonesia.
