Writer: Hayley CombaluzierHayley Combaluzier

It’s Ottawa Charity Ping Pong (OCPP), and it’s only 4 days away!  Please join us in raising our paddles for charity on Friday, September 18th.  Register at http://www.ottawacharitypingpong.com/  before it sells out! This year’s event will raise money for Christie Lake Kids, changing the trajectory of disadvantaged childrens’ lives through sport, arts, camp, mentoring and leadership programming Not good at ping-pong?  Good because no one is.  The event is for fun! Players of all skill levels (even the “no-skill” level) are welcome to don their ping pong whites, pick up a paddle and a refreshing beverage and join the ping pong revolution.  Hosted at The Cabin located at 95 York St. in the historic by-ward market, it’s guaranteed to put some top-spin on your Friday night! Tickets are $25.  Players and spectators are encouraged to wear their best ping pong whites (a great excuse to wear your whites post-Labour Day) with prizes for best outfit, and possible point deductions for dress-code violators!  To learn more, visit www.ottawacharitypingpong.com Evan Monk, Head of Ping-Pongery – evan@themonks.ca or 613-406-3826
