Ottawa Valley Midsummer Herbfest: A celebration of Healthy Living

Ottawa Valley Herb Association is putting together, the 18th annual Ottawa Valley Midsummer Herbfest, a celebration of Healthy Living. It will be held on Sunday, July 28th, 2013. It is Located at 3840 Old Almonte Road, Ottawa. 15km west of Scotiabank place. It will be starting at 9:00 am until 5:00 pm, rain or shine. Herbfest is a festival that caters to the gardening community, nature lovers, foodies, environmentalists, families, artists and entrepreneurs. It is the festival to explore alternative avenues of healthy living. Programs during the festival include the all Popular Chef cook off, hosted by Debbie Trenholm, a certified sommelier and owner of The Savvy Company. As well, guests can take advantage of educational lectures and demonstrations from natural therapy practitioners on healing techniques. Throughout the day, there will be live music, guided walks through the herb garden, face painting, henna tattooing, tea sampling and dancing fairy performers flitting through the gardens. Guests can enjoy a quiet rest at the gazebo or yoga in the garden. There will be over 90 vendors and artisans offering a variety of herbal, eco-friendly, and healthy living products and services.
