Seven members of the Ottawa Festival Network have been named to Festivals and Events Ontario's 2018 Top 100 Festivals & Events in Ontario list, and five of them received farther recognition as Festivals & Events of Distinction, a select group which represent some of the most well-known and respected celebrations in the province; celebrations which draw both an international and domestic audience.

The Award is intended for the festivals and events industry to openly encourage, support, learn from and recognize positive local environments for festivals and events provincially. FEO recognizes those municipalities, towns or cities and markets who have worked to provide an atmosphere beneficial to successful festivals and events.

We create an effective networking environment for festivals, special events and fairs in Canada’s Capital Region. A not-for-profit service organization, we work cooperatively with members and partners towards a vibrant, inspired and prosperous festival capital.
Festivals and Events Ontario supports a lively, engaged and dedicated festival and events industry by sharing knowledge, enabling networking and providing leadership on education, advocacy and promotion. The festivals and events industry in Ontario is estimated to generate in excess of $2.3 billion annually in contribution to regional GDP, create/sustain approximately 50,000 full-year-equivalent jobs and foster approximately $1 billion dollars in taxes at all levels of government.
