Mādahòkì Farm officially opened its Christmas at Mādahòkì programming last week, with support from TD Bank and Enbridge. The experience invites visitors to celebrate the season through immersive light displays, festive culinary experiences, and authentic Indigenous cultural teachings. The holiday-themed events run Thursdays through Sundays until December 28.
At the heart of this year’s festivities is the Trail of Lights & Traditions. Guests are able to wander the glowing Legacy Trail, where ten artistic light installations illuminate the forest. A covered dome featuring a Northern Lights-inspired soundscape adds a magical pause along the path. Visitors can enjoy Indigenous Christmas carols, warm beverages, seasonal treats, and family-friendly farm experiences including barnyard animals and a farm play area, along with the Mādahòkì Marketplace, which showcases the creations of more than 60 Indigenous vendors.

As part of the seasonal offerings, Mādahòkì Farm is hosting Christmas Feasts & Celebrations in its newly-renovated Mamawii Lodge. A festive dinner on December 5 features a holiday menu, a special appearance and keynote from Santa, pow-wow dance performances, hand-drum songs, followed by exclusive access to the Trail of Lights & Traditions. A festive lunch on December 12 offers visitors another opportunity to enjoy Indigenous-inspired cuisine. Groups interested in private celebrations can book any available dates through January 3, 2026.
“At Mādahòkì Farm, our goal is to share the land and celebrate Indigenous culture through all of our programs. This Christmas, our seasonal offerings invite visitors to reflect on the shared values of generosity, community and reflection found in both Indigenous teachings and Christmas traditions, creating a space to learn, share and celebrate together,” said Trina Mather-Simard, CEO of Mādahòkì Farm.
Additional holiday programming includes:
Indigenous Craft Market - November 29 & December 6, 11AM to 8PM
Beaded Earring Workshop - November 29
Beaded Christmas Ornament Workshop - December 6
Breakfast with Santa - December 7 & December 14, 10AM to 12PM
