Great Canadian Theatre Company Drop by for a fresh cup of coffee!

OTTAWA, ONTARIO – March 25, 2013 GCTC is thrilled to announce that Le Café Michel-Ange has re-located to the main lobby space of the Irving Greenberg Theatre Centre and proprietor Louise Rousseau has got great plans! Rousseau is a trained barista and coffee connoisseur who welcomes clients with her warmth and good cheer. In addition to exceptional coffee, the café offers homemade treats, tasty Moroccan food and a sandwich and soup of the day at lunch time. Plus you can purchase the coffee beans to have wonderful fresh coffee at home or use their catering services for your next event. Café hours are: • Tuesday to Friday from 7 to 3:30 • Saturday from 9:30 to 2 • Sunday from 9:30 to 2 • Open extended hours when GCTC’s plays are on At their previous location Le Café Michel-Ange built a reputation for hosting musicians and throwing fantastic concert events. These shows will be continuing with presentations by a wide variety of local and visiting musicians in the main lobby and theatres. Already there have been two sold out concerts: guitar player Richard Smith and on International Women's Day the Songbird for Sparrow concert featuring Jennifer Noxon, Christine Graves and Chris MacLean. Coming up next: Ottawa singer, song writer Greg Kelly will perform in the Cafe on Saturday afternoons from 12:00 to 1:00pm (March 30, April 6, 13 and 20). Greg has two CD’s and over 35 years of making fine folk and country music. There is no admission charge for the concert and the coffee is always fresh. We are in for a real treat when Frank Vignola, one of the most extraordinary guitarists performing before the public today takes the stage in the Studio Theatre on April 6 and 7 at 8:00pm. Tickets are on sale at GCTC’s Box office $25.00 in advance and $30.00 at the door. Le Café Michel-Ange is excited to bring musical events to the beautiful spaces at GCTC.
