Free Family Fun In The Tim Hortons Children's Area

Today the Tim Hortons Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival announced a spectacular line-up of family entertainment as part of their twentieth anniversary celebration. Ventriloquist Tim Holland, the Puppet Tamer and Lil John The Clown will join a number of other performers as the hosts of the Tim Hortons Children’s Area. The twentieth anniversary celebration of the Festival takes place at beautiful Mooney’s Bay Park on the Rideau River, June 20 - 23, 2013. The Tim Hortons Children’s Area plays host to a wide assortment of crafts, music, science, puppets, games, animals and magic. There are interactive presentations and performances from Little Ray’s Reptile Zoo, A Company of Fools, The Great Balanzo of Acme Circus, Illusionist Chris Pilsworth, and Radical Science. The family fun continues with, activities and crafts including drum making, face painting and lantern making in the ArtsSmarts activity tent. The ever popular bubbles bouncy castle will be there, as well as Magician Michael Bourada, a Birds of Prey Flight Show by Canadian Raptor Conservancy, and the Paddling Puppeteers who will tell the story of the First Nation’s history on beautiful Ottawa River. “We are thrilled to present such a diverse group of quality performers”, said John Brooman, Festival CEO. “We couldn’t do this without the continuing support from our generous sponsors, various granting bodies and community organizations.
